Innovation Bursaries – Applications open for PhD students
Through the TCD-UCD Innovation Alliance, the two universities are committed to ensuring that innovation and entrepreneurial skills are the outcome of doctoral education. To this end both institutions launched interdisciplinary PhD bursaries for which they are now recruiting.
In UCD, proposals were invited that would embed innovation in doctoral education in a novel and interesting manner, and contribute to an exploration of one of the UCD priority research themes with outcomes which:
There was a strong response to the call and after assessment on the basis of academic merit and track record, interdisciplinary and crucially, innovation there were three successful PhD proposals:
